Day Twelve: 13.7 miles + Clouds

The clouds today were incredible! All day they graced the blue skies above us.

We walked from Sarria to Portomarin–the first part of the journey within the minimum 100k that are required to get the Compstela in Santiago. It was very noticeable that many people began their journey in Sarria today. Fresh faced, many carrying day packs and ostensibly having their bags taken from town to town, huge groups of teenagers/youth walking together, elders with tour guides. We chose to walk in gratitude today, instead of pain, or resentment.

Today we crossed the 100k marker to Santiago, which for us means we are halfway through our journey, having walked 200k and with 200k left to Finisterre.

Witches broom fence. Lots of witch statues and symbols on the road today.
  Life sustenance.
