Day Eleven: 11.6 miles

Today we walked from Triacastela to Sarria. There are two ways to Sarria–the road and the mountain. Of course, as always, we chose the mountain. It was so beautiful!!

Tyran from Australia, who walked the Camino and loved this Donativo so much he came back to stay here for a few weeks. He has been helping build the yoga space and meditation room and the permaculture garden and offers coffee and fruit and goodies to pilgrims heading down the mountain!
(Marco from Venezia in the back, the guitar maker!)

Antonio Bello is an alchemist. He polishes and collects and makes jewelry and art from rocks. His house is a beautiful oasis where Marco the Italian guitar maker played guitar and we drank coffee and Antonio’s son gave massages and Sofia pulled tarot cards.

Sarria–finally, beers and a good dinner to take the pain away, and the awesome monastery albergue we stayed at, Monasterio de la Magdalena.
